Found out today from my surgeon that my insurance approved me today! Took 4 business days. Looks like I have the choice of the 18th or 28th of June for surgery. They will call in the morning to see if the hospital has an available room for either dates and let me know. Unreal that I could be having surgery next week already! I am beyond excited. I will post as soon as I know my surgery date!!!!
For any of those that have had Dr. Ferrari, do you know how many days before surgery you start the liquid diet? That is one thing I forgot to ask but will find out tomorrow.

I remember getting the call too and thinking...."wow! I guess this is a done deal!". I was nervous and excited all at the same time. Looking back, I'd do it all over again in a heartbeat!

I am going to create a post on my surgery date but wanted to respond to this thread. My official date is June 18th at 7:30am. Next week! I wasn't expecting to get in that soon! I have my pre-op next Wednesday. And was told I don't "need" to do a liquid diet prior to surgery but they recommend it so starting Saturday I am going to do two protein shakes and have a light meal in the evening to help with my liver.
I have Cigna insurance. I am shocked it only took 4 days although my surgeon's office was telling me it was a matter of days they were hearing back from insurance companies especially mine.
